TOVA’S MUCHNESS PIC OF THE DAY

Today, I sat outside on the back patio with my daughter and we colored with chalk. I wore my favorite old platforms. They are about 10 years old. They were $50. They’ve been resoled 5 times. New buckle, 3. For some reason, not including boots and sneakers,  they are the most comfortable pair of shoes I’ve ever owned and I refuse to give them up even though they’ve just about given up on me. And I’ve tried to replace them. Three newer, cork soled platform shoes sit in my closet, virtually untouched. These shoes are irreplaceable.

But this post isn’t about the shoes. And it isn’t about the cute florally print dress I wore with them (shout out to Tzippora.)

And it isn’t even about how, inspired by Heather, I took this photo with the Hipstamatic iphone app.

Nope. It’s about how, when I looked at this photo of me in platform shoes and my floral dress, in a pic taken with a random hipstamatic iphone filter, it was like looking back in time to my mom in the 70’s, and ironically, today is mothers day, and it all comes full circle.

Happy Mothers Day!!

Love & Muchness, Tova

Ironically this random lens (the kamal mark iv I’m guessing) was the PEEFECT lens for a pic with a 70’s flare to it! Meant to be! Great shot! Glad u were inspired to try it. Awesome result!!’

That sounds familiar… I set it so I just shake the phone and it tosses my lense and film and flash info. groovy stuff.
