Drama. Never leave home without it.

I lied today. Not a big lie, but an important one.

Heres how it went down. I went to the store to get stuff for Molly’s birthday party. It’s a glorified dollar store and they have the bestest, more random stuff on earth.

I walked the aisles, browsing, photographing, texting… I filled my cart, got to the checkout, Look in my bag and my wallet is GONE! Total freak out. troll the aisles, talk to manager. Pull hair…. check the car. storm aisles…. call cousin who says to call the police. Call the police. they’re on their way. Call my neighbor who has a spare key and just in case, ask her to check the house.

Behold. My wallet was on the counter.

So I lied. I told the store my neighbor found it in the driveway. It must’ve fallen out while I was getting in the car. (Because what kind of idiot would leave the house without their wallet and then swear on all that is good and holy she had it with her when she entered the store.)

Despite my embarrassment- I just went back and bought the stuff I was gonna get for Mollys disco party. I mean- $2 for these!! Worth the mortification.

They Flash!!!!!

Much or too much?

I’m thinking I seriously want these. Thoughts? (look- they’re gold! That practically makes them a neutral! I can wear them with practically anything!! I’m thinking they might be among the most practical pieces I will buy this summer. The arch is only 3.75″ which is totally commutable for me. My other Jeffery Campbell Much or Too Much shoes were the same and they were shockingly comfortable. Seriously. Help me justify this before they’re sold out…)

Forget Platform in Shoes at Nasty Gal.

Muchness is in the little things- and gosh I wish I wasn’t so easily distracted!!

Today I had to draw something by hand for work. That is archaic. I write lots of lists and use lots of big fat sharpies in a rainbow of colors to get my thoughts out of my head and onto paper, but pencils? I haven’t done that in a while. So when I went to go look for a pencil, I was surprised to find these sparkly ones. My assistant bought them for me a looong time ago.

Using them made me realize there are so many little things we can do- tiny little seemingly insignificant things- to bring Muchness into our days. And the little bit’s of Muchness Add up. So I made a list. Add your ideas to it! 🙂 Check it out!! Let me know what you think!

Thinking of my babies

I haven’t been sleeping well. I have stayed up late watching tv. I do that when I’m afraid to head upstairs and go to bed. Afraid because I think im going to lie in bed and think about two perfect little girls who look exactly alike and look like a mix between my two living girls.
Mollys birthday is coming up. I’m making a disco party for her. But her birthday also marks another day. It’s the day the twins were conceived. Last year I didn’t recognize the shadow sadness hovering around me. This year I felt it. Im feeling it. I spend 6 months a year remembering where in my pregnancy I was in 2009. I wonder if that’s ever gonna change.
I really need to get to bed.

I’m gonna make it!

I am in love with this skirt. I’m gonna make one. I actually have some soft gold leather in my basement. (who doesnt?) I used it to make this awesome bag a couple of years ago:

PROJECT!!! (I hope I have enough left-overs to make this skirt… will post the results when it’s done!)

And IGNORE THAT MESS!!!! That is how I get my work done at the office. I can’t be fancier than I am…

Muchy music moment

I stepped out if my office just long enough to grab a slice of pizza to bring back to eat at my desk. As I walked out the building I heard this:

It was awesomely beautiful and unexpected. The muchiest part? On my way back to the office I saw a woman try to give him a dollar. He replied “oh, no thank you. I’m not playing for money. I’m just playin'”

Weekend Muchy Makeover!!

I think every NJ home needs a bit of Boca.

These were $2.50 each at Target. But the Muchness they add to our garden is priceless!!

I told landscaper that I could / would not ‘garden’ and he should just leave that area around the AC unit bare for me to fill with random colorful things. He didn’t believe me and now, every season I just yank out the stuff that grows from the roots. I really wanna fill that whole area with a mish-mash of random tacky crap. That would make me happy. (Except my twins rock. That’s not random tacky crap. That’s my heart.)
