MUCHNESS PIC OF THE DAY

I feel like my Muchness is lagging. Though I DO wear something Muchy every day, many days it’s a redo of something I’ve already worn, and I worry I will bore you. But then I decided, Peh! Half the point of The Muchness is Sharing The Muchness, which means I am going to make it my mission to post my Muchness Every. Single. Day.

That being said, my iphone is so old. I upgraded the app that I use to post to this blog from my phone and now the app no longer works. I need a new phone.
Operation: Convince-boss-to-let-me-upgrade-my-iphone  is in full effect!

Today, I wore shorts for the first time since HIGH SCHOOL. Pretty awesome.

OMG. I saw these at one of the best stores on the planet – The Christmas Tree Shops! They are like the most glorified dollar store on planet earth. Like a treasure hunt for all the most random crap you never knew you couldn’t live without.

So, they had these napkin rings that looked like GIANT Diamond rings. Forget the fact that I don’t have any napkins that would ever need ringing, I just HAD to own these. I bought 8. OH, those are the “little” ones. The BIG ones were the size of my fist- and that’s just the Diamond!!! I bought every single one they had in stock- Total- 5.

What on earth am I going to do with these glorious tchatchkas???? I have NO IDEA!

Suggestions?

Ya know what? I LOVE how The Muchness just keeps paying it forward! Inspired by Dennel, I have just taken out my sewing machine for the first time in…. um…. I have no clue. Lets just say the last time this machine saw the light of day it was a top of the line (ish) and it was not yellow! I opened the case and gasped! Honest to god, the thing used to be white.

But no matter. I threaded that thing right up and it ran like a dream. And the best part?? It’s what I’m gonna make on this sewing machine….

Another Reader Submission!!! (I love these 🙂 )

Dennel is my girl- she actually sews her own own Muchness! How awesome is that? I have more than one submission from her because she is clearly a whiz on the Singer (or Brother, or Viking Husqvarna, or whatever the  heck she sews on) but I am just gonna post one today. Leave you waiting for more….

Dennel (In her silver pants) Writes: This muchness is a lot of fun.  Being an adult sucks sometimes and it’s great to be OK with throwing away all the worries of social acceptability and just being free to sparkle.

Ya know what? I couldn’t agree more. I wanna rewrite that quote in glitter glue and put it on a flag on my front lawn!
Go on with your bad self in your silver pants! I hope you wear those to the grocery store on a saturday morning. That place could use a little Muchness.

Color Splash Takes Over!!

Sorry it’s been a few days since my last post. Things have been koo-koo here at Casa De Gold.

So, last week, as you might know from reading my posts, Color Splash from HGTV came to our house. They gave our living room the most amazingly Muchy make-over in the history of Muchy make-overs. (There is a looong history of muchy makeovers… trust me on this… or don’t)

So, for those of you not obsessed with HGTV like I am, or, if you live under a rock, HGTV is Home and Garden Network. It is the default channel of my life. Nothing on? Turn to HGTV. The way foodies watch The Food Network, or Sports fans watch ESPN, or geeks watch Star Trek.

The star of Color Splash (hence forth referred to as CS) is David Bromstad. This is is him:

OK- I used that pic because everything in it is like Eye Candy. 😉

David is awesome- so friendly and nice and down to earth and most of all,  TALENTED. He just seems to be able to tap into whatever the homeowner seems to want and deliver it with so much style and class and sophistication. What did he deliver to me? MUCHNESS. I <3 it.


I told David about our loss and how I was using sparkle and color to help me make my way back from the depths of grief. I didn’t go on and on about it because, let’s face it, dead babies don’t really make for great TV, but I did want him to know where I was coming from, and the journey I was on. Before the reveal he said that he’s never done a makeover that was as “homeowner inspired” as ours. That made me feel awesome. The film crew also told my husband that this was the funnest makeover they feel they did this season. As well it should be!!! haha

I want to post pics soooooooo badly but I can’t- not until it airs (which feels like it will be in a million years)

I will say this: Remember my post about Teeze? Well, One of the most popular bags in my collection makes a surprise guest appearance and in a BIG way!!!
